What qualifies you for HOPE Scholarship?
Meet the following criteria: ACT or SAT scores earned prior to high school graduation. The student must score in or above the 75th percentile on a single national or state/district administration of the ACT or single national administration of the SAT.
How much does HOPE Scholarship pay for?
A student must also graduate with a 3.7 High School HOPE GPA and must have a score of 1200 (CR+M) on a single administration of the SAT or a 26 ACT Composite and must maintain a college cumulative GPA of a 3.3. This Scholarship will pay for 100% of tuition, including $4,000 at private colleges.
What qualifications do you have to meet in order to receive the TN HOPE Scholarship?
To participate, applicants can apply by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), available at www.fafsa.gov.
- Students must achieve a minimum 3.0 GPA or 21 or above GPA.

Does Hope pay for private colleges?
Some research that we’ve published in 2019 that surveys the state of private schools in West Virginia indicates that average tuition is around $4,100. In this case, the Hope Scholarship amount of $4,624 would be sufficient to cover private school tuition.
How long are you eligible for HOPE Scholarship?
Make sure you understand what hours are counted in your HOPE Attempted-Hours. In addition, students are only eligible to receive the HOPE Scholarship until 7 (seven) years from the date of the student’s high school graduation, home study completion, or successful GED test.
What percent of tuition does hope cover?
Currently, the HOPE Grant covers 90 percent of tuition for up to ninety-five quarter hours or sixty-three semester hours. Once enrolled, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA according to the 2011 reforms.
How much does HOPE Scholarship cover at KSU?
HOPE provides $167.00 per credit hour for the 2019-2020 academic year. Students are evaluated at 30, 60, and 90 attempted hours and at the end of every spring term. If you lose HOPE, you may regain your eligibility only at the 30th, 60th or 90th attempted hour. You may lose and regain HOPE one time.
What is the difference between Tn promise and HOPE Scholarship?
The Tennessee Promise Scholarship covers the full tuition for an associate’s degree at certain eligible schools including community colleges, colleges of applied technology, and select private or public universities. The Tennessee Hope Scholarship is what you would think of as a typical scholarship.
What is the hope Aspire scholarship?
The Aspire Award is established and funded from the net proceeds of the state lottery and awarded to entering freshmen as a supplement to the HOPE Scholarship.
