What GPA do you need to keep HOPE Scholarship?
A HOPE Scholarship recipient must graduate from high school with a minimum 3.00 grade point average (as calculated by GSFC) and maintain a minimum 3.00 cumulative postsecondary grade point average to remain eligible.
Why did I lose my HOPE Scholarship?
A student will lose the HOPE Scholarship if their GPA is below the minimum requirement at one of the checkpoints and may only regain the scholarship one time. A student is ineligible to receive HOPE Scholarship funds once the student has reached the 127 hour limit.
What GPA is required for HOPE Scholarship in GA?

Yes. Students who fail to meet the renewal requirements and lose the HOPE Scholarship can regain the award one time by meeting the renewal criteria listed above at a benchmark. Students cannot appeal to regain the HOPE Scholarship if their GPA falls below the renewal requirements.
Does HOPE Scholarship pay for housing?
HOPE does not cover fees, books or housing. Zell Miller Scholarship, like HOPE is funded by the Georgia Lottery for education and is for eligible Georgia residents who graduated from a HOPE-approved high school.
